Log your dog training hours the way the certification log wants them
For dog trainers working toward the CPDT-KA: log your training hours one row per client per month and see hands-on and assisting hours inside the three year window against the published 300 hour numbers. Only the certifying body decides eligibility, and your rows stay in this browser.
Your rows, your clients' names and their dogs' names are stored only in this browser. There is no account and nothing is uploaded.

The 300, 225 and 75 hour figures are from the CPDT-KA Candidate Handbook (2026 testing periods), Eligibility Requirements, item 1, read on 27 September 2026. The certifying body's current handbook governs.
Rows the log will accept
One client or facility for one month per row, hands-on and assisting on separate rows, no acronyms and no hours with your own dog. The log flags each problem as you type.
Counted inside the window
300 hours in the last three years, at least 225 of them hands-on and no more than 75 assisting. The progress page shows each number, the gap and the rows that leave the window next.
Names stay on your device
A client list never leaves your phone or laptop: there is no account and no upload. Keep your own copy with a backup file from the log's Backup tab.
What it is not
- Trainer Hours does not determine eligibility. The certifying body decides eligibility. The app shows your logged hours against the published numbers, with the source named.
- It keeps records and does arithmetic. It gives no training or behavior advice.
- Trainer Hours is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) or any other certifying body. CPDT-KA and CBCC-KA are marks of their owners.
